AOII

So tomorrow I am off to George Mason University to take some pictures of a great sorority AOII. I am so excited to do this!! I think the only challenge I will have is taking group, large group, pictures. I have yet to do this, so trying to figure out where everyone will stand and making sure you can see everyone is going to be quite a challenge but if that's my only obstacle through the day then I am pretty sure I should be OK. I can't wait to post pictures!!

CCMD What up?

I spent a hot summer afternoon and evening with some of the most amazing and coolest people. It was the CCMD Annual Employee Golf Outing. Ipersonally chose not to golf. It was for my own pride and for the safety of those around me. I enjoyed taking pictures just as much as they enjoyed playing! It was great way to spend time with friends. Here are a sneak peak of some pictures I took! More to come by the end of the week!

August has arrived...

and unfortunately it is still here. I have no appointments schedule this month, that is why I am offering do a shoot for a couple who is either engaged or in love for FREE... (well basically). They have to be open to having fun and spending the whole afternoon together. I need a couple who's style is not too trendy, some what relaxed but at the same time know how to rock a tie or some heels. I have some ideas in my head that I would love to put in image. So if you or someone you know is open this session, tell them to email me @ persnicketyphotography@yahoo.com for details. Thanks again everyone!!

Missouri Sky

Stunning.Amzing.Awesome.God at his best. W.E or however you wish to describe it's the kind of thing you wish everyone could see. These pictures do not even begin to show how awesome it was to watch the loud, out of no where, weird thunderstorm. My family and I literally stood outside on the front porch and just watch the sky go from blue to gray to black. It was something none of us had seen before. ( and no it was not just a thunderstorm otherwise I would not be posting about it) My words can't describe what we saw or witnessed but God was def. up to something!

How were the pictures edited?
Add a bit of light to both and simply had a bit of color to the rainbow picture.

So um who's next?

That's the question of the day. Who will be next in the Persnickety portfolio? Right now I have 4 to 5 appointments on the books. Spread out over the next few months....(big sigh). So I will ask again who is next?

I have concluded that my enjoyment and love for photography is simply that. I love it and enjoy it so much that I don't see it as work. It is more or less a hobby that could possibly help out ($$) a bit around the house. I wasn't quite sure if this is what the LORD was wanting me to do but now I am sure of it.

I need to keep taking pictures. It's that one thing in life that brings satisfaction and in a weird way closer the LORD. So will you be next in my photography journey? I would love to take your picture!

HOME

I've been in town since yesterday but this is the first time I've been able to hop on the computer for any length of time. Anyways, I am back in Maryland! I had a great {much needed} trip to Missouri. Things go at a much slower pace in Missouri, each time I go I seem to remember why I love visiting so much, besides my family. Speaking of family, I got to shoot some newborn pics of my nephew Paul. He is adorable! (not just because he is my nephew) I also got to take some family pictures for the whole Schelp family<----(my sister's family). They had the ideal backdrop, their own front yard. It is acres, on top of acres of beautiful everything green! I couldn't have asked for a better session. Like I said the trip was def. needed and very much appreciated. Pictures or no pictures totally worth the 18hr car ride! Love you Schelp family!
